I cover my run with clear plastic in the winter. They love coming out and I can still see them

In reply to Martin Hill. I'm glad you found this useful! I'm sure that there are temperatures up there that might be too dangerous to stay outside. But with a warm, insulated coop I would imagine they'd be ok. People raise chickens everywhere after all.
